WAYNETOWN – C. V. Patton, 75, 56 W. Pennsylvania St., Shelbyville, a Waynetown native, died at his home at 10:15 a.m. Monday. He had owned and operated the Patton TV Sales & Repair in Shelbyville since 1943. Mr. Patton operated a Shell Oil station in Crawfordsville in the 1920s before being transferred to Shelbyville in 1930 where he operated a station until 1943. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Shelbyville and a member of the Shelbyville Elks Club and Eagles Lodge. Mr. Patton was married to Ada Lee Lehman March 11, 1923. She survives. He was born Nov. 19, 1897, a son of Howard A. and Laura Smith Patton. Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Morris (Twila) Fisher of Albuquerque, N.M.; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Ratcliff of Romney, Mrs. Doris Clore of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Ruth White of Linden, and a grandson. Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Ewing Mortuary at Shelbyville with Rev. Raymond Clayton officiating. Burial will be in the Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. - kbz
